Calvary Chapel Family,
Most people are aware, by now, of the impact COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is having around the world, and right here in Washington State. Please continue with us in prayer for the families who have lost loved ones, and for those whose lives have been severely interrupted. For all that we don’t yet know about this virus, and how it may yet impact our lives personally, there are a few practical things that we do know, and I just want to encourage you to keep them in mind.
First, as followers of Christ, let’s remember what the apostle Paul said to young Timothy:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” NKJV
– 2 Timothy 1:7
While there are many dangers in this fallen world we need to take seriously, the greatest danger to beware of is the temptation to not trust God as we respond to the reality of those things outside of our control. Let’s continue to walk in wisdom and love as we trust the Lord.
Second, it’s important for all of us to do our part and take responsibility for practicing safe healthy habits, especially those with compromised immune systems. We are encouraging you to follow the recommendations to stay home and practice safe social-distancing measures.
Finally, in the coming days, we will stay alert to the best-updated information and keep you informed through social media, our website, and the church phone voice message. We will take all the necessary precautions and encourage you to do the same. For now, we suggest you click on the link below to inform yourself and pass it on to others.
Thank you for being prayerful, understanding, and faithful!
Updated April 4, 2020
We desire to share the love of Jesus by making face masks for the medical caregivers who expressed a need for face masks. The body of Calvary Chapel can make these masks for our neighbors and community while honoring the stay at home and social distancing orders set by Governor Inslee and President Trump. If you are interested in sharing the love of Jesus by helping make face masks for those in need in Thurston County, contact Pat Sumner at firstname.lastname@example.org or 360-352-2242.
We want to hear from you! Please complete our survey online so that we know how we can best encourage, serve, and support you right now.

CHURCH BODY SUPPORT SHOPPING
There are people in our church body who are willing to grocery shop for others who are not able to get out and shop for themselves. We are still trying to figure out how to facilitate payment in a way that is sanitary for both the shopper and the person receiving the groceries. If you need someone to shop on your behalf or if you are willing to shop on someone else’s behalf, please contact the church office at 360-352-4214 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
